District Commissioner Inspects Polling Stations Ahead of Bye-Election 2026
Morigaon, 3 September 2026: District Commissioner Srishti Singh, IAS, today conducted an inspection of selected polling stations across Jagiroad, Laharighat and Morigaon Legislative Assembly Constituencies to review preparedness for the forthcoming Bye-Election 2026.
The polling stations inspected included:
* 52 Jagiroad LAC: Gasarguri L.P. School
* 53 Laharighat LAC: Bhuragaon College
* 53 Laharighat LAC: Bhuragaon Girls M.E. School
* 53 Laharighat LAC: Swahid Mujamil Haque Balika L.P. School
* 54 Morigaon LAC: Bhuragaon H. Sarkar H.S.S.
During the visit, the District Commissioner reviewed polling infrastructure, assured facilities, accessibility, and overall election preparedness. She directed the concerned officials to complete all necessary arrangements well in advance to ensure the free, fair, smooth, and transparent conduct of the Bye-Election 2026.
