#Dibrugarh | Following the circulation of a video related to an alleged cash-on-delivery (COD) fr@ud case in Dibrugarh, the delivery worker involved has issued a clarification, stating that he had asked his younger brother to deliver a parcel on his behalf due to personal reasons. He stressed that his brother had no role in the matter and should not be blamed for the incident.
The delivery worker explained that delivery personnel are generally unaware of the contents of the parcels they transport and are only responsible for delivering them to customers. According to him, neither he nor his brother knew what product was inside the parcel that later became the subject of controversy.
He further stated that he is taking full responsibility for the situation and has already resolved the payment-related issues. He also acknowledged the cooperation shown by the customer in settling the matter and thanked them for their understanding during the process.
Apologizing for his mistake, the delivery worker urged the public to be cautious while ordering products through social media platforms such as Facebook and Instagram, where fraudulent sellers may operate. He emphasized that delivery workers are not responsible for fraud involving sealed parcels and appealed to customers to verify sellers carefully before making online purchases.
