#Dibrugarh | Coinciding with World Environment Day, a modern public toilet facility was inaugurated at RKB Path near the old Bata premises in Dibrugarh, further strengthening efforts to improve sanitation, hygiene, and public convenience in the town.
Following the inauguration, Dibrugarh Municipal Corporation Commissioner Navas Das, ACS, provided a brief tour of the newly opened facility, highlighting its various amenities designed to serve the public in a clean and comfortable environment.
The facility was formally inaugurated by Commissioner Navas Das, Mayor Dr. Saikat Patra, and Deputy Mayor Ujjal Phukan in the presence of municipal officials and local residents.
During the tour, the Commissioner showcased the separate toilet sections for men and women, along with additional facilities including showers, urinals, and a dedicated breastfeeding room for mothers. He stated that the initiative aims to provide safe, hygienic, and accessible sanitation facilities for all sections of society.
Officials informed that the public convenience centre will operate with a nominal user fee to ensure regular maintenance, cleanliness, and smooth functioning of the facility.
