સુરતમાં ચંદી પડવાના પર્વ પહેલાં માવા વિક્રેતાઓને ત્યાં પાલિકાના આરોગ્ય અને ફૂડ વિભાગના દરોડા, વિવિધ ઝોન સહિત ભાગળ વિસ્તારમાં સઘન તપાસ હાથ ધરાઈ. ઘારીમાં વપરાતા માવાની ગુણવત્તાની તપાસ કરવામાં આવી રહી છે, જેથી લોકોના આરોગ્ય સાથે ચેડાં કરતા વિક્રેતાઓ સામે કાર્યવાહી કરી શકાય.
सूरत में चांदनी पड़वा पर्व से पहले मावा विक्रेताओं के यहां महानगरपालिका के स्वास्थ्य और फूड विभाग ने छापेमारी की। विभिन्न ज़ोन सहित भागल इलाके में सघन जांच की गई। घारी में इस्तेमाल होने वाले मावे की गुणवत्ता की जांच की जा रही है, ताकि लोगों की सेहत से खिलवाड़ करने वाले विक्रेताओं के खिलाफ कार्रवाई की जा सके।
