#News | Dibrugarh Airport F!re Service, in collaboration with the 12th Battalion of the National Dis@ster Response Force (NDRF), conducted a dis@ster awareness programme on October 13, 2026, to mark the International Day for Dis@ster R!sk Reduction. The programme aimed to raise awareness about dis@ster preparedness and strengthen emergency response capabilities.
The programme focused on earthqu@ke preparedness, rescue techniques and essential safety measures to be followed during emergencies. Participants were sensitised to the importance of taking timely action and adopting appropriate response strategies to minimise r!sks and protect lives during dis@sters.
The initiative also highlighted the importance of coordination between emergency response agencies in managing dis@ster situations effectively. The joint effort by Dibrugarh Airport F!re Service and the 12th Battalion NDRF underscored the need for public awareness, preparedness and coordinated action to reduce dis@ster r!sks and enhance community safety.
