Widespread showers drench South Gujarat Surat: Widespread rain across South Gujarat on Monday brought a fresh spell of monsoon activity to the region, with Bharuch receiving 97mm in 12 hours, rivers rising and waterlogging disrupting traffic in parts of Surat city. Bharuch recorded 97mm of rain between 6am and 6pm. Within the district, Hansot received 76mm, Vagra 75mm and Ankleshwar 70mm.
