It was the day they stepped into leadership. With the inspiring message, “Leadership begins with responsibility, discipline and service,” the school’s Primary Wing held its Investiture Ceremony at the Mata Sundari Ji Auditorium, formally handing over leadership responsibilities to the newly appointed student council. ##From Classroom to Leadership Held under the guidance of Principal Abhishek Kumar, the ceremony began with a tilak ceremony, prayer and bouquet presentation. An energetic dance performance celebrating victory and achievement soon set the mood for the occasion. The moment of pride arrived with the announcement of the new student leaders. Priyank Kumar was named Head Boy and Smriti Suman Head Girl. Saumya Jha and Priyanshu were entrusted with discipline, while Elina Nazmi and Anurag Pratap Singh took charge of cultural activities. Vinayak Sharma and Shaurya Shrivastava were appointed Sports Prefects. The newly appointed leaders received their badges and sashes before taking the oath of office, formally accepting their responsibilities. ##House Captains Ready for Action Leadership responsibilities also reached the school houses. Mohammad Arhan Haq and Mannat Preet Kaur were appointed Captain and Vice-Captain of Pawan House. Alok Chauhan and Kumar Tejas took charge of Paani House. Parth Kishore and Pragya became Captain and Vice-Captain of Dharat House, while Mohul Chandrabhushan Raman and Vanshika Tandon were appointed Captain and Vice-Captain of Aakash House. ##Guest Gives Leadership Lessons Chief Guest Jaya Kumari, Executive Magistrate, Chas, encouraged the young leaders to lead with confidence, honesty, discipline and dedication. She reminded them that a leadership position is not merely a badge of honour but a responsibility to serve and inspire others. New Head Boy Priyank Singh of Class 3/G and Head Girl Smriti Suman of Class 3/H expressed their commitment to serving the school sincerely. A plantation drive and card presentation added a message of growth, responsibility and hope. GGES Chairman Tarsem Singh, Secretary S.P. Singh, Principal Abhishek Kumar, Vice-Principal Amolak Singh and Primary Wing In-charge Shilpi Kumari congratulated the young leaders. The ceremony concluded with the National Anthem, leaving the students with a renewed sense of pride, patriotism and responsibility.

Bokaro: Guru Gobind Singh Educational Society’s Technical Campus (GGSESTC), a NAAC B++ accredited college of Engineering and Management, celebrated the 80th Independence Day with patriotic fervour and enthusiasm.

## National Song and Flag Hoisting

The programme began with the collective rendition of the national song ‘Vande Mataram’, followed by the hoisting of the national flag by GGSESTC Director Dr Priyadarshi Jaruhar, GGES Management Secretary Surendra Pal Singh and management members Jaspal Singh, Jagmohan Singh and Gurdeep Singh. The National Anthem was subsequently sung by the gathering.

## Focus on Technical Education and Research

Addressing the gathering, Dr Priyadarshi Jaruhar welcomed the guests, faculty members and students and highlighted the importance of technical education and research in strengthening the nation and contributing to its progress.

GGES Management Secretary Surendra Pal Singh appreciated the dedication and achievements of the faculty and staff under the leadership of the Director. He also encouraged students to maintain academic excellence and work towards achieving greater success.

## Faculty Members Felicitated

Faculty members who contributed to the ISTE BNKY Faculty Development Programme were presented certificates in recognition of their participation and contribution.

The celebrations also featured a series of cultural performances by students. They presented dance performances, patriotic songs and poetry recitations, adding colour and enthusiasm to the Independence Day programme.
