AMC announces new guidelines to tackle dirty drinking water complaints in Amdavad.

Under the new rules, if more than five complaints are reported from any area, an AMC team will reach the spot within six hours to inspect the issue. If any leakage, pipeline damage, or other fault is found, the water supply will be stopped immediately and residents will be provided water through tankers.

AMC will also conduct door-to-door surveys, inspect overhead tanks, and carry out repair work to fix the problem. Once the repairs are completed, water samples will be tested, and the supply will resume only after a satisfactory test report confirms the water is safe for use. The civic body says these measures will help provide a quicker and more effective solution to dirty water problems across the city.
