Rourkela, August 23:(SatyaNewsAlert) The National Bajrang Dal, Rourkela, organised a special Bal Kanwar Yatra on Sunday morning to introduce children to Hindu religion, traditions and cultural values.
The yatra commenced at around 8 am from Baikuntha Ghat in Sector-20, where the young participants collected holy water. The children then proceeded to Nilkantheswar Temple at C Block, Koelnagar, where they offered the sacred water and performed Jalabhishek of Lord Shiva with their own hands.
The organisers said the main objective of the Bal Kanwar Yatra was to familiarise children with Hindu religion, Sanatan traditions and Indian cultural heritage, while encouraging them to understand and respect their spiritual roots from an early age.
The programme witnessed the participation and support of several members of the organisation. Raju Singh, Odisha State Vice-President of the Rashtriya Bajrang Dal; Swami Nityanand, District Secretary of the International Hindu Parishad; Ashish Mahato; Basudev Kumar; Jaskinder Singh; Ankit Sharma; and Pavitra Mohanty played an important role in organising and successfully conducting the event.
The organisers expressed satisfaction over the enthusiastic participation of the children and said that such programmes would continue to be organised to promote awareness of Hindu traditions and cultural values among the younger generation.
