500-Year-Old Ganesh Idol That Devotees Believe Couldn’t Be Moved! 🙏🐘✨
The Ganesh festival has begun across India, but Khargone, Madhya Pradesh, is home to a truly fascinating Ganesh idol.
According to local belief, this nearly 500-year-old idol was once being carried by a Naga Sadhu. After resting overnight on the banks of the Kunda River, the Sadhu tried to move the idol the next morning—but devotees believe it wouldn’t budge from its place.
Eventually, the idol was left there, and over time, this place became the revered Siddhi Vinayak Ganesh Temple. 🙏
The idol itself is said to have several unique features—a moon on the head, a third eye, a snake around the trunk and a garland of 108 Rudraksha beads. It is also believed that a portion of the idol remains buried underground.
During the 10-day Ganesh festival, special puja, Abhishek and Maha Aarti are being organised at the temple. 🪔✨
