Assam Chai Bazar is set to inaugurate its first public tea auction on September 25, 2026, at HM Resort, marking a significant step towards establishing a dedicated platform for tea producers and buyers.
The initiative aims to bring together tea producers, manufacturers, buyers and other stakeholders on a common platform, while creating greater opportunities for Assam’s teas to reach markets across India.
Assam Chai Bazar seeks to strengthen the direct connection between producers and the market, facilitate better value realization for tea producers and provide a platform to showcase the diverse range and quality of teas produced across the state.
The first auction is expected to mark the beginning of a new avenue for tea trade in Assam, with the platform focusing on improving market access and fostering stronger business linkages within the tea industry.
