*MURALIDHAR URMAL, TAHASILDAR-CUM- SUBREGISTRAR, LATHIKATA, DIST-SUNDARGADA INTERCEPTED BY ODISHA VIGILANCE WHILE CARRYING RS.5 LAKHS SUSPECTED ILL-GOTTEN CASH*.
Today i.e. on 20.08.2026, based on reliable inputs, Muralidhar Urmal, Tahasildar- cum- Sub-Registrar, Lathikata, Dist- Sundaragada *was intercepted a short while ago by a team of Odisha Vigilance near Rajabasa Chhak, Lathikata, while Sri Urmal travelling in his hired office vehicle ( Scorpio) from his office at Lathikata to his residential house at Rourkela, and Rs.5 Lakhs suspected ill-gotten cash recovered from his possession*. As Sri Urmal failed to explain satisfactorily, the source of the Cash recovered from him, *the entire Cash Rs.5 Lakhs along with the Scorpio Vehicle was seized*
Following this, simultaneous searches have been launched at 3 locations linked to Sri Urmal from DA angle.
