The Principal Census Officers’ Conference for Phase-II (Population Enumeration) of Census 2027 was successfully held on 21 September 2026, under the chairpersonship of Smt. Cheshta Yadav, IAS, Director of Census Operations, Goa, and organised by the State Nodal Department, Directorate of Planning, Statistics and Evaluation (DPSE), Goa. The conference was attended by all Collectors/Principal Census Officers and District Census Officers. The Director of Census Operations, Goa, provided an overview of Phase-II, highlighting their roles, responsibilities and relevant legal provisions, followed by a detailed presentation by Smt. Sweta Nandwana, Deputy Director, covering the 40 questions, digital tools, training and operational procedures/requirements. The conference concluded with a vote of thanks by the Director, DPSE, Goa.
