Context: Strong reaction in Sivasagar over the unusual incident involving a NEET candidate in Nalbari. The All Assam United Brahmin Council submitted a memorandum to the District Commissioner of Sivasagar. It may be mentioned that a NEET candidate in Nalbari was allegedly forced to remove her lagun (traditional sacred thread/ornament) before being allowed to enter the examination hall.
