Elephant Terror Grips Sundargarh District; Residents Live in Fear!
Rourkela, October 16 (SatyaNewsAlert): Fear has gripped residents of Biramitrapur, Bisra, Kuarmunda and Nuagaon blocks in Sundargarh district due to increasing elephant movement.
For the past four months, villagers in Bisra block have been facing elephant-related disturbances. The situation took a tense turn on Thursday evening when a tusker entered the Talsara area of Ward No. 11 in Biramitrapur town, triggering panic among local residents.
Forest department personnel rushed to the spot in time and, with the help of villagers, successfully drove the tusker back into the dense forest during the night. No major damage was reported.
With elephant herds continuing to create fear, residents say they are unable to sleep peacefully in their homes. They have urged the authorities to take effective measures to ensure public safety and find a permanent solution to the recurring elephant menace.
