A 181-foot Ravana statue will be burned in Dehradun on Dussehra. A team of world-record-holding artisans created three effigies in 45 days, costing ₹31 lakh.
This time, paper has not been used in the effigies being created at the Parade Ground. According to Tejinder, materials like cloth and fiberglass have been used to minimize damage from rain. This will reduce the risk of damage to the effigies even during light rain.
After starting work in Dehradun on August 25th, the team worked there for about 15 days before moving on to other cities. After preparing the effigies in Delhi and Panchkula, the team returned to Dehradun and finalized the construction.
