
#News | Dibrugarh’s noted table tennis player Papori Hazarika Borah has been conferred with the prestigious Life Membership of the Dibrugarh District Sports Association (DDSA), in recognition of her contribution to the sport and achievements at the state and national levels.
Papori, also referred to as Papori Hazarika Bora, has represented Oil India Limited (OIL) in several table tennis tournaments and has established herself as one of Assam’s prominent women players.
She has secured major titles in state-level competitions, including the women’s singles crown at the Guwahati Sports Association’s open table tennis tournament, where she defeated Mrigakhee Bordoloi in the final.
Papori has also consistently featured among the top-seeded women’s table tennis players in Assam. She has regularly progressed to the advanced knockout stages of major state tournaments, including the Assam Table Tennis Association’s Golden Jubilee Assam Open championship.
Her sustained dedication and performances have earned her recognition in Assam’s table tennis circuit and made her an inspiration for aspiring young athletes in Dibrugarh and across the state.
The DDSA’s decision to confer Life Membership honours her contribution to the sporting community and the pride she has brought to Dibrugarh through her achievements in table tennis.
