Rourkela, October 21, 2026 (SatyaNewsAlert): The atmosphere at the Sector-9 Durga Puja pandal in Rourkela turned emotional and devotional as married women participated in the traditional Sindoor Khela ritual on the occasion of Vijayadashami, marking the farewell to Maa Durga after four days of worship and festivities.
After offering prayers to the Goddess over the past four days, the married women gathered on the final day to participate in the age-old ritual of Sindoor Khela. As part of the tradition, they applied vermilion (sindoor) to Maa Durga and offered her bangles and other items as symbols of marital bliss, prosperity and well-being.
