#Dibrugarh | Dibrugarh Town Railway Station is expected to resume operations within the next two months, Northeast Frontier Railway (NFR) General Manager Chetan Srivastava announced during his visit to Dibrugarh on Friday.
The announcement comes as a significant development for railway connectivity in the region, bringing relief to passengers awaiting the resumption of services at the station.
During his visit, Srivastava also laid the foundation stone for the Model Kalibari Railway Colony, marking another step towards railway infrastructure development in Dibrugarh.
He further stated that the railway electrification work in the section has been completed. Expressing optimism about future rail connectivity, the NFR General Manager said that passengers would soon be able to see Vande Bharat trains operating in Dibrugarh.
The expected reopening of Dibrugarh Town Railway Station, along with the completion of electrification work, is likely to strengthen railway connectivity and improve travel convenience for passengers in Upper Assam.
