In Khargone, police launched a major crackdown on illegal ganja cultivation under Operation Prahaar.
Police teams used drones to identify the fields in a no-network area and crossed rivers and mountainous terrain to reach the location.
More than 15,000 marijuana plants, weighing around 5,974 kg, were reportedly seized. Police estimated their value at nearly ₹3 crore.
According to Khargone SP Ravindra Verma, a case has been registered against four people under the NDPS Act.
The land reportedly belongs to the Forest Department and had been leased to the four accused, who are currently absconding.
