#Dibrugarh | The Esteem Bus Owners Association, Dibrugarh, has submitted a representation to the District Commissioner of Dibrugarh seeking immediate intervention over what it has alleged to be unlawful and monopolistic actions by the lessee of the Murlidhar Jalan Bus Terminus (MJBT).
The association alleged that the lessee of the Dibrugarh Municipal Corporation (DMC) bus terminus has been interfering with the functioning of the association and its members.
According to the association, the tax has allegedly been increased from ₹80 to ₹100 per bus per day without prior notice or consultation. It further alleged that the lessee has attempted to take control over the management and functioning of the association and has interfered with the operations of bus owners and office staff at MJBT.
The association also alleged that its authorised linemen/timekeepers have been prevented from entering the bus stand, while the lessee has allegedly interfered with bus schedules and time cards issued by the association.
