#News | Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has announced that family relief kits will be distributed to flood-affected households in Sivasagar and Charaideo as the flood situation continues to improve.
Addressing a press conference, the Chief Minister said each family kit will contain essential food items, including 8 kg of rice and 2 kg of dal. The packing of these relief kits is being carried out at multiple locations, including Dibrugarh, Tinsukia, Nagaon, Guwahati, and other nearby districts, to ensure their timely distribution.
The Chief Minister said that with the floodwaters receding, government teams are now able to reach villages that were previously inaccessible. Relief distribution has been intensified, and the administration is working to ensure that every affected family receives the necessary assistance.
He added that district administrations, volunteers, and various agencies have been directed to expedite the distribution process so that relief reaches people without delay. The government will continue to monitor the situation and provide all possible support until normalcy is fully restored in the flood-affected areas.
