We have conveniently reduced our patriotism to mere calendar events, school assemblies, and social media posts, completely ignoring our fundamental duties on the ground. If we want a genuinely developed nation, we must teach the next generation to move beyond performative slogans. We need to instill in them the courage to question the normalized indiscipline in our society. Teach them that if a shopkeeper does not provide a dustbin, they shouldn’t just throw their wrapper on the street. They should stand there and confidently demand accountability. True patriotism is an everyday action, not a yearly celebration. Drop a ‘Jai Hind’ if you believe in action over empty slogans!
