#News || Popular Assamese YouTube channel Heavy Budget is set to release its first feature film, ‘PremXL, on October 2, 2026. Presented by D Mojo Art, the film’s official trailer has already been released.
Set in Guwahati in the mid-2020s, PremXL is a young-adult romantic comedy that follows Mihir, who falls in love with Diya, a new admission to Happy Girl’s PG, a girls’ hostel run by his mother.
Mihir and his childhood friend Biki are partners in crime, while Diya shares the PG with her friends Dhriti and Gauri. As the story progresses, the characters develop an unexpected friendship, while Mihir’s possibly one-sided love for Diya continues to grow.
The film is described as a romantic take on a slice-of-life story, blending young love, friendship and everyday moments in the city.
‘PremXL’ is directed by Tony Deori Basumatary and produced by Prerona Borah Bordoloi.
