Trailer No. CG-10BS-9615, carrying ash from Jharsuguda towards Sundargarh, caught fire while descending the Bhasma Overbridge.
The tyre reportedly burst due to excessive friction, triggering the massive blaze.
Bhasma Police and Jharsuguda Fire Services rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control.
The trailer was gutted, but the driver narrowly escaped unhurt!
Police investigation is underway.
