Relief for Amdavad Commuters: YMCA–Karnavati Club Road to Reopen from August 1 After remaining closed for the last eight months due to the construction of the Elevated Corridor, the 1.2-km stretch connecting YMCA to Karnavati Club is expected to reopen for vehicular traffic from August 1, bringing major relief to daily commuters. Although the road will be operational, work on the Elevated Corridor above is now likely to be completed by September 30 after unexpected delays caused by the discovery of a massive underground rock, which required a specialized diamond-cutting machine for removal. The project, originally expected to take six months, has extended to eight months and is still ongoing. During the closure, nearly 1.5 lakh vehicles were forced to take a detour of around 4 km every day, increasing travel time and congestion across the surrounding roads.
