INVITING PROJECT PROPOSALS
The National Medicinal Plants Board (NMPB), Ministry of Ayush, Government of India invites project proposals from State Forest / Wildlife Departments under the scheme “Conservation, Development and Sustainable Management of Medicinal Plants.”
The initiative aims to promote in-situ conservation, development and sustainable management of medicinal plant resources across the country.
Key Activities for Proposals
Medicinal Plants Conservation and Development Areas (MPCDAs)
Establishment of MPCDAs for conservation and maintenance of medicinal plants, including endemic, red-listed and other associated species.
Cost norm: ₹20,000/- per hectare (1 MPCDA minimum of 200 hectare).
Revisit Existing MPCDAs
Revisit existing MPCDAs in forest areas to assess their present status and related activities.
Cost norm: ₹5,000/- per hectare.
Resource Augmentation
Resource augmentation of medicinal plants.

JFMCs
Support for creation of value-addition facilities such as Drying Yards and Storage Godowns to encourage sustainable harvesting and livelihood improvement.
Cost norm: ₹15,00,000/- per JFMC etc.
