In a concerted effort to strengthen healthcare delivery, Secretary, Ministry of Ayush, Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha, held a strategic meeting today regarding key matters related to the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS).

The fruitful discussions were held with Dr. Sunil Kumar Barnwal, CEO, National Health Authority (NHA), MoHFW, and DG CGHS. Discussions focused on CGHS-related matters and strengthening collaboration to improve access to quality Ayush healthcare services.

मधेपुरा में भव्य 'योग महोत्सव' का आयोजन: 850 से अधिक लोगों ने किया सामूहिक योगाभ्यास!

आयुष मंत्रालय के अंतर्गत मोरारजी देसाई राष्ट्रीय योग संस्थान, नई दिल्ली और सम्पूर्ण मानव कल्याण अध्यात्म सेवा समिति के सहयोग से 4 जून 2026 को जनता उच्च विद्यालय, चौसा (मधेपुरा, बिहार) के प्रांगण में 17वें काउंटडाउन के अंतर्गत एक भव्य 'योग महोत्सव' सफलतापूर्वक संपन्न हुआ। समिति के जिला संयोजक संजय कुमार सुमन के कुशल नेतृत्व और समन्वयन में आयोजित इस कार्यक्रम का भव्य शुभारंभ बिहार विधान सभा के मा. उपाध्यक्ष नरेन्द्र नारायण यादव सहित अन्य विशिष्ट अतिथियों एवं शिक्षाविदों द्वारा दीप प्रज्ज्वलित कर किया गया। इस आयोजन में लगभग 850 छात्र-छात्राओं, शिक्षकों और स्थानीय ग्रामीणों ने पूरे उत्साह के साथ हिस्सा लिया ।

On the occasion of World No Tobacco Day 2026, the ICMR–National Institute of Cancer Prevention and Research (NICPR) organized the "National Consultation on Countering Nicotine & Tobacco Addiction: From Evidence to Action” on 2 June 2026.

Dr. Ramrao D. Patil, DDG (Ayush), was invited as a Guest and, during his address, he highlighted the Ayush Guidelines for the Establishment of Tobacco Cessation Centres (TCCs) at Ayush institutions. He also emphasized the potential role of Ayush systems in strengthening tobacco de-addiction and cessation efforts.

Dr. Patil further chaired a panel discussion, where he shared insights on the use of Yoga-based practices as behavioural interventions and the supportive role of Panchakarma procedures such as Dhoomapana and Nasya as adjunctive measures in managing tobacco withdrawal and promoting cessation.
