#wildlife || Vantara Foundation has proposed setting up three Wild Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation Centres in Assam, including a dedicated facility for the welfare, care and conservation of Asian elephants. The proposal was submitted to the Assam Forest Department on August 12, on behalf of Vantara founder Shri Anant Ambani, marking World Elephant Day. The proposed centres will operate under the guidance of the Assam Forest Department and feature specialised animal housing, advanced veterinary hospitals, diagnostic laboratories and animal nutrition centres.
