અમદાવાદ મનપા કમિશનર બંછાનિધિ પાનીએ શહેરીજનો માટે એક આશ્ચર્યજનક અને કડક જાહેર ચેતવણી આપી અમદાવાદ મનપાએ પ્રિ-મોન્સૂન તૈયારી વચ્ચે શહેરના 25 અંડરબ્રિજ અંગે કડક ચેતવણી જાહેર કરી છે. કમિશનર બંછાનિધિ પાનીએ સ્પષ્ટ કહ્યું કે, 'વરસાદ દરમિયાન દુર્ઘટનાની જવાબદારી મનપાની રહેશે નહીં.' માત્ર થોડો વરસાદ પડતા જ અનેક અંડરપાસ પાણીથી ભરાઈ “સ્વિમિંગ પૂલ” જેવી સ્થિતિ સર્જે છે. આવા વિસ્તારોમાંથી પસાર થવું વાહનચાલકો માટે જીવલેણ સાબિત થઈ શકે છે તેમ તંત્રે જણાવ્યું છે. પાણી ભરાતા અંડરબ્રિજ બંધ કરી ઓવરબ્રિજ જેવા લાંબા વૈકલ્પિક રૂટ આપવામાં આવે છે.
