A Ganesh idol being transported from Vidyavihar to Dharavi toppled near Sheetal Talao on LBS Road in Kurla (West) on Tuesday night, leaving two people with minor injuries.

The two injured persons were identified as Santosh Jaiswal (28) and Rohit Jaiswal (25). Jaiswal was taken to Kurla Bhabha Hospital, while Rohit was taken to Habib Hospital. Representatives of the mandal subsequently immersed the idol at Sheetal Talav.

As informed by local police, a Ganesh idol belonging to a Dharavi Ganesh Mandal was being transported from Vidyavihar to Dharavi toppled near Sheetal Talao.

Representatives of the local Ganesh Mandal subsequently immersed the idol at Shital Talav.

In the incident, two persons sustained minor injuries. One was taken to Kurla Bhabha Hospital and the other to Habib Hospital. Both received treatment for minor injuries and were discharged.
