OPERATION THUNDER 2.0 | Taj Bagh Joins the Fight Against Drugs
As part of the ongoing Operation Thunder 2.0 campaign envisioned by Commissioner of Police Dr. Ravinder Kumar Singal, an Anti-Drug Awareness Programme was successfully conducted at Taj Bagh under the jurisdiction of PS Sakkardara on 25 June 2026, in association with the Taj Bagh Trust.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from Taj Bagh Trustees, Khadim Association representatives, Corporators of Ward No. 30, Child Welfare Commission social workers, and local citizens. Participants were sensitized about the dangers of psychotropic substances and drug abuse, while being encouraged to actively support law enforcement by sharing information related to drug peddlers and illegal narcotics activities through Dial 112 and local police channels. Informants were assured complete confidentiality.
The event concluded with the Operation Thunder Anti-Drug Pledge, administered by the Senior Police Inspector, reaffirming the community’s commitment towards building a Drug-Free Nagpur. Discussions were also held regarding the upcoming Taj Bagh Urs, with a collective resolve to further strengthen anti-drug awareness among devotees and visitors.
