#assam: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has once again alleged that the University of Science and Technology Meghalaya (USTM) is among the reasons behind Guwahati’s recurring urban floods. He said people are blaming issues they have never seen, while claiming USTM’s activities contribute to flooding whenever it rains. However, he added that he cannot take action as the institution falls under Meghalaya’s jurisdiction, stating, “I am the Chief Minister of Assam, not Meghalaya.”
