#News | Dibrugarh has taken another step towards addressing the city’s growing parking and traffic concerns, with demarcation carried out for the proposed Multi-Level Car Parking (MLCP) site behind Dibrugarh Town Railway Station.
The proposed parking facility will come up on an area of approximately 2,500 square metres, as mentioned on the site signboard.
Dibrugarh Municipal Corporation (DMC) Mayor Dr. Saikat Patra, Deputy Mayor Ujjal Phukan, Commissioner Shivani Jergal, IAS, along with DMC officials and railway officials, were present during the demarcation process.
The proposed multi-level parking facility is expected to provide additional organised parking space in the heart of the city and help ease the pressure on existing roads and parking areas.
The development is being seen as an important step towards improving traffic management and parking infrastructure in Dibrugarh.
