Will Amdavad finally get some traffic relief this Navratri? 🚦
The Amdavad Police Commissioner has directed AMC and NHAI to carry out urgent road repairs at around 35 traffic points ahead of Navratri. This includes the long-pending ISKCON–Sarkhej bridge work on SG Highway, which has been given a target of completion by 31 October.
Authorities have also been instructed to fill potholes under the bridge before Navratri to avoid traffic congestion.
Now, the big question is — will these repairs actually be completed before Navratri and bring relief to commuters?

![Amdavad’s iconic Manek Chowk is set for a major transformation as redevelopment work begins across a nearly 2 km heritage route. The night food market will be reorganized with designated square food zones, numbered stalls and fixed rental allotments. New Menaite and Cobalt stone flooring will also be added, while night-time vehicle movement in the area is planned to be restricted to improve the visitor experience. The project is estimated to cost around ₹41 crore.
