A new 6-km Metro Phase 4 corridor will directly connect the Airport with the city. The route will pass through Ashram Road, Koteshwar Prachin Mandir, Sabarmati Riverfront, Sardar Nagar, and the Airport area. The stretch from Ashram Road to Sardar Nagar will be elevated, while the section from Taj Circle to the Airport will be underground, providing direct access to both Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Preliminary work has already begun, and if all goes as planned, construction could start by Diwali. Once completed, Amdavad’s metro network will expand to nearly 77 km.
