License of Cafe Mondegar in Colaba suspended by FDA:
On 12 September 2026, an inspection was carried out at M/s. Cafe Mondegar, located at Colaba.
Key deficiencies found during the inspection as follows:
Temperature-control deficiencies: It was found that hot food items were not being kept at the required temperature of above 60°C, and that cold storage was not being maintained at the required temperature of below 5°C. Improper thawing of food items and failure to rapidly cool cooked food items as required were also found.
Hygiene and structural deficiencies: It was found that the flooring of the
establishment had been damaged due to dampness, that the drainage system near the food preparation area was inadequate, creating a risk of cross-contamination, and that equipment was not being properly cleaned and sanitised.
