For the third year, I kept my Nirjala fast for him and broke it through a video call. Duty may keep him away, but he always makes sure that when it’s time for me to break my fast, he’s right there on the other side of the screen.
It’s not how we imagined celebrating Teej together, but his presence, even through a screen, somehow makes the distance feel a little smaller.
