Under the able guidance of Dr. Navjot Khosa, IAS, Director, DCO Chandigarh, the three-day In-house Training Programme for DCO officials on Population Enumeration – Phase II of Census 2027 was successfully conducted from 28 to 30 September 2026 at the Data Centre, Chandigarh.
The comprehensive training programme covered all key definitions and concepts, the AHL (Abridged Houselist), the carving out and splitting of Enumeration Blocks (EBs), and all 40 questions in the Population Enumeration Schedule. It also provided practical insights into the procedures, field-level requirements, and operational aspects essential for the smooth and effective conduct of Population Enumeration.
The training was imparted by the national trainers of this Directorate, Ms. Akriti Pandey, Deputy Director, and Ms. Archana Nahar, Assistant Director.
The enthusiastic participation, thoughtful discussions, and valuable inputs from all officials significantly enriched the sessions and contributed to the successful completion of the training programme.
