The 11th Ayurveda Day is a reminder of something I keep coming back to: Ayurveda was never meant to be a collection of quick fixes or miracle cures. It is a way of living.
From the way you wake up, eat, move, rest and care for your body to understanding your individual constitution, needs, seasons and surroundings - Ayurveda gives you a framework to build a life that supports your health, rather than waiting for something to go wrong and then looking for a cure.
And I think that is what makes it so relevant today. Its ancient wisdom is incredibly detailed, but it is also highly individualised. There isn’t one Ayurvedic routine that is right for everyone.
You have to understand the principles, understand yourself, and learn to separate genuine knowledge from exaggerated claims that you see online.
This year’s theme, “Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow - One Health, One Future,” brings together Ayurveda, research and innovation with the larger idea of holistic health, community well-being and sustainable living.
