
Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign-2026 Concludes at Rampur HPS on Gandhi Jayanti
Special Cleanliness Meeting and Felicitation Ceremony Held with Representatives of Affected Panchayats and Partner Organisations
Rampur, October 3, 2026: The Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) Campaign–2026, organised by Rampur Hydro Power Station (Rampur HPS) from September 17 to October 2, 2026, in accordance with the directions of the Ministry of Power and the Corporate Office, concluded on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. During the campaign, a series of activities focusing on cleanliness, public participation, waste management and environmental protection were organised with the active involvement of the local community and various stakeholders.
As part of the concluding programme, a Special Cleanliness Meeting was organised on October 2, 2026, in the presence of Er. Vikas Marwah, Project Head, Rampur HPS, with representatives of the affected panchayats of Rampur HPS. The meeting was aimed at strengthening dialogue, coordination and public participation among the local community, Panchayat representatives, volunteers and partner organisations, while further promoting awareness about cleanliness and environmental protection.
The meeting also provided an important platform for interaction with local representatives and stakeholders on the need to sustain cleanliness initiatives beyond the campaign period. Emphasis was laid on collective efforts, community participation and coordinated action to make cleanliness and environmental protection an integral part of everyday life.
On the occasion, organisations and groups that made an outstanding contribution and actively participated in the SHS Campaign–2026 were felicitated. The Mahila Mandal, Gandhinagar; Mahila Mandal, Bangladesh; Mahila Mandal, Bayal; and Sambhav Public Welfare Trust, Dattnagar were honoured in recognition of their active participation and valuable contribution towards making the campaign successful.
Addressing the gathering, Er. Vikas Marwah, Project Head, Rampur HPS, said that Mahatma Gandhi regarded cleanliness as the foundation of a healthy and empowered society. He said that concluding the Swachhata Hi Seva Campaign on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti further strengthens the collective commitment towards cleanliness and reinforces the importance of maintaining a clean and healthy environment.
He emphasised that the active participation of local Panchayats, Mahila Mandals, volunteers and partner organisations can make cleanliness initiatives more effective as well as sustainable. He appreciated the valuable contribution of volunteers and supporting organisations during the campaign and said that their active participation conveys a positive message about cleanliness to society.
Er. Vikas Marwah further called upon everyone to ensure that cleanliness does not remain confined to a particular campaign or special occasion but becomes an integral part of everyday life and lifestyle. He urged all stakeholders to continue contributing towards building a clean, healthy and environmentally friendly society.
The meeting was attended by the Pradhans of the affected Panchayats of Kharga, Tunan, Kushwa, Bakhan, Poshna, Bari, Gadej, Kasholo and Jagatkhan, along with the Pradhans of Mahila Mandal Gandhinagar and Mahila Mandal Bangladesh, the Founder of Sambhav Public Welfare Trust, Dattnagar, and all Heads of Departments of Rampur HPS.
The participants reiterated their commitment towards cleanliness and environmental protection and expressed their resolve to continue extending active cooperation and ensuring greater public participation in such initiatives in the future. The successful conclusion of the SHS Campaign–2026 reflected the importance of collective responsibility and community participation in promoting cleanliness, environmental awareness and sustainable practices.
