The Kamakhya Temple Management Committee said that the Ambubachi Mahayog Management Committee has been formed to oversee the smooth conduct of the mela. Authorities and various government departments have intensified preparations to manage the large influx of pilgrims expected during the four-day festival.
Temporary shelters and pandals have been set up at multiple locations, while drinking water facilities and medical assistance centres have been arranged for devotees. CCTV cameras have also been installed at strategic points to enhance security and surveillance.
