Citizen Raises Questions on Welfare Schemes, Roads, and Public Concerns in Assam
nTB Report | June 17
A social media post by Suchismita Bhattacharjee has drawn attention after she addressed a public letter to Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, raising questions about several issues affecting residents.
In her letter, written as a BJP supporter and an ordinary citizen, she questioned the discontinuation of the Jibon Prerana scheme after the elections. She stated that the scheme had provided financial assistance to students and helped many continue their education, and sought clarification on why it was no longer being implemented.
The post also expressed concern over reports that some beneficiaries may be removed from the Orunodoi scheme, creating uncertainty among families dependent on the welfare programme.
Bhattacharjee further highlighted the poor condition of the road connecting Udharbond and Madhura Clock Tower, claiming that daily commuters face difficulties and safety risks due to the deteriorating infrastructure. She urged authorities to provide a permanent solution to the problem.
Additionally, she called for an investigation into alleged illegal activities reportedly taking place around Parijat Hotel on the highway, requesting appropriate action if the allegations are found to be true.
Concluding her letter, the citizen appealed for continuous development and public support beyond election periods, expressing hope that the government would address the concerns raised.
