The youths are of the Malgodam area of Rourkela. According to reports, one of the youths, attempting to escape the mob attack, jumped into the Brahmani River and has since gone missing. A search is underway, but his whereabouts remain unknown. The remaining three youths sustained serious injuries in the assault. They were initially admitted to the Rourkela Government Hospital and later referred to JP Hospital for advanced treatment due to the severity of their condition.
