Chennai foodies kept talking about this one. So I had to find out. Kosmo Cafe, Alwarpet. A tiny spot on TTK Road — metro construction all around, no real seating, and a row of cars parked outside like it’s some kind of secret clubhouse. That alone told me something interesting was going on here. Their Cold Milo. Served in mud glasses, this isn’t your regular packet Milo from school canteen memories. It’s thick, malty, properly cold — and somehow more satisfying especially when they top up milo powder right out of the pouch in front of you! For 90s kids, Milo was always a memory — Kosmo took that memory, chilled it down, and turned it into a cult drink that Chennai clearly can’t stop talking about. Did it live up to the hype? Mostly yes. Is it worth making a stop for? Hmm , yeah I guess , if you’re ok with a bit of sugar load 😁 Simple drink. Strong identity.
