This is the classic masala dosa Bangalore has loved for generations — the kind you’d find at old-school darshinis and udupi hotels, made simply with oil on a well-seasoned tawa. 

It comes out crisp on the outside, soft inside, with the classic taste everyone grew up with. 

No fancy techniques, just good batter, hot oil, and years of practice. Paired with the classic potato palya, & chutney. 

it’s the kind of dosa that doesn’t need to try hard — it’s just done right. 

@cafeamudham is bringing back this old-school method, made the way Bangalore has always known and loved it. 

Simple, honest, and full of flavour and memories.

Chennai foodies kept talking about this one. So I had to find out.

Kosmo Cafe, Alwarpet. A tiny spot on TTK Road — metro construction all around, no real seating, and a row of cars parked outside like it’s some kind of secret clubhouse. That alone told me something interesting was going on here.

Their Cold Milo.

Served in mud glasses, this isn’t your regular packet Milo from school canteen memories. It’s thick, malty, properly cold — and somehow more satisfying especially when they top up milo powder right out of the pouch in front of you! 

For 90s kids, Milo was always a memory — Kosmo took that memory, chilled it down, and turned it into a cult drink that Chennai clearly can’t stop talking about.

Did it live up to the hype? Mostly yes.

Is it worth making a stop for? Hmm , yeah I guess , if you’re ok with a bit of sugar load 😁

Simple drink. Strong identity. That’s all a place really needs.

Here’s a place that’s quite special on my list! 🤍

@ainortindimane was started by a set of fellow influencer friends, and it’s only been a month since they opened.

They make really simple food, and the whole place has the vibe of eating at home. A proper boon for everyone staying around here and in the apartments surrounding this cafe.

Gasagase haalu/payasa was such a refreshing change to spot on the menu compared to the usual beverages

The rest of the menu stays classic though, so there’s enough variety for everyone.

If you’re around Banashankari 6th Stage or Turahalli Forest, this place needs to be on your list.

Came across this little place in Domlur called @paddumaneblr while I was getting back home. 

Small little place run by a family and the Paddu is made fresh to order that’s served with two chutneys ! 

Took home two plates and it was warm and filling ! And yeah I made another trip in the next 30 min for a second round to find out they are sold out for the day 😅

Going here again soon!
