An emotional video from Delhi’s Satya Niketan building collapse has drawn attention after NSUI National President Vinod Jakhar questioned the administration’s response at the site.
In the video, Jakhar holds up a copy of A Thousand Splendid Suns, saying it was recovered from the rubble during the rescue effort. He described the sight as deeply emotional and claimed NSUI volunteers helped rescue students before official resources were fully in place.
His remarks are part of the political criticism surrounding the incident. Official reports, however, indicate that Delhi Fire Service, police, NDRF and other emergency agencies were deployed following alerts about the collapse. Rescue operations continued at the site.
