We proudly call ourselves the smartest species on the planet. Yet, we take a plastic bag from a vendor, use it for exactly 5 minutes to carry our items home, and then casually throw it away. That 5-minute convenience costs the earth hundreds of years of toxic degradation. We have literally mortgaged nature’s breath just because we are too lazy to carry a simple cloth bag from home. It is time to drop the arrogance of being ‘intelligent’ because no smart species destroys its own home for temporary comfort. Stop making the earth pay for your laziness.
