The College of Nursing, AIIMS Bibinagar, in collaboration with National Neonatology Forum India, Indian Academy of Pediatrics, Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India, and the Government of India, conducted a Basic Neonatal Resuscitation Workshop on 10th May 2026 as part of the National NRP Day celebrations. The workshop was organized to strengthen neonatal resuscitation skills among healthcare professionals and was attended by 55 nurses from various hospitals across Telangana. This nationwide initiative by NNF India aims to improve newborn survival through large-scale, hands-on resuscitation training programs across the country.
The workshop was coordinated by Dr. S.K. Mohanasundari and Mrs. Era Deepika Dayal. Faculty facilitators included Dr. S. Thanigainathan, Dr. Gurrarsh Singh, and Dr. B.V.P. Divya. The sessions focused on preparation for birth, routine newborn care, initial steps of resuscitation, and bag-and-mask ventilation through simulation-based skill stations and hands-on demonstrations. The program concluded successfully with positive feedback from participants, who appreciated the practical and interactive nature of the training.
