#Assam | Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday 28th july announced a one-time financial assistance of ₹ 15,000 for every severely flood-affected family in Assam to support immediate recovery after the floods. The Chief Minister said the assistance will be transferred directly to beneficiaries’ bank accounts through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) system. The financial aid is intended to help families purchase essential household items, clean and repair their homes, and meet immediate expenses after floodwaters recede. District officials will identify eligible families and prepare the beneficiary list before the funds are released, ensuring the assistance reaches those most affected by the floods.
